About Jeremiah (Jerry) Murphy

Jeremiah "Jerry" Murphy has practiced as a Certified Public Accountant since the 1970s and has operated his own practice in Fort Bragg, California since 1976.

His firm, Jeremiah K. Murphy, CPA Inc., is intentionally small so clients work directly with the CPA responsible for their tax planning and preparation.

Over the decades Jerry has advised individuals, families, and small businesses on tax compliance, planning, and financial decisions. His approach emphasizes clear explanations, practical solutions, and long-term relationships with clients.

Outside the office, Jerry has been active in the Fort Bragg community, volunteering with local organizations and youth sports programs.

Experience:

1971 - 1976: I was a staff account and had client responsibilities from the outset of my employment. I was expected to provide all of the bookkeeping, payroll and income tax needs of small businesses under my control. I also assisted partners with larger clients as part of my regular work.
